About Me

My goal is to connect young students with the ability to access theatre anywhere and everywhere! I hope to help every child find their own unique voice  and to build their confidence as a student and as a performer. Theater has been that vehicle for me and I love sharing its possibles with young people.

I am a Rhode Island- based Theater Arts Educator specializing in Acting Performance and Directing for children’s shows. Most recently, I worked as a Preschool Arts Enrichment teacher and an Education Assistant with the Mayo Performing Arts Center, a regional theatre in New Jersey, as well as a Director for a Middle School production of Into the Woods Jr. I also had a role as an actor in the recent production of The Diary of Anne Frank at the Summit Playhouse in Summit, NJ.

I attended Drew University, where I received my BA in Theatre Arts. While studying at Drew, my primary focus was stage management and performing. But as time went on , I developed a growing interest in education working in several theater summer camps. During the year, I was an Assistant Teacher at the local community center, assistant teaching after school musical theatre classes for elementary school aged kids in the area.

Over the past few years, I have worked in the New York City area in multiple teaching positions with children. I particularly enjoyed being an Assistant Site Director and Teaching Artist for Wingspan Arts, an Arts Education company that provides after school arts enrichment classes in the New York City  Public School System. I was able to hone my skills and work with children of all ages in fostering their connection to the performing arts.

In April 2018, I moved to New Jersey, where I continued to broaden my experience in teaching. I served as a full time Pre-K teacher as well as an Assistant Teacher for the Essex Youth Theatre where I assistant directed several shows for elementary school aged students.

I have since moved back to Rhode Island, and am very excited to be back in my home state continuing my role as a Theatre Educator.
